After sailing throughout most of the Eastern & Western Caribbean and the Bahamas, the last 30 years, Captain Suky chose the Bahamas to cruise for its natural beauty, hospitality to cruisers, and it's high level of personal safety as well as the wonderful variety of cruising areas and anchorages.
BESIDES SAILING WHAT OTHER ACTIVITIES ARE THERE TO DO IN EXUMA?
There are many things to do in Exuma including, trails to go hiking on, live music, feeding stingrays, beautiful reefs for snorkeling, blue holes, and George Town which is great town to explore with lots of markets and delicious local food.
HOW LONG IS A TYPICAL CHARTER?
Most charters are 8 days. This allows us time to sail to other cays and still have time for snorkeling and land adventures. If you would like to book a longer charter please specify when booking so we can give you the estimated cost of the additional days.
WHAT KIND OF FOOD IS SERVED ON THE BOAT?
We are happy to know your food preferences/cuisine/diet. We typically prepare very fresh, simple healthy meals. We also serve lots of locally caught fish. Please advise us of any food allergies and preferences 3-4 weeks prior to your charter.
WHY THE BAHAMAS FOR CRUISING ?
The Bahamas are great for cruising for several reason. The Exuma chain has lots of natural beauty and sea life. The Exumas also have lots of protective anchorages and shallow water making anchoring very easy. This is a great place for beginners or experienced sailors to enjoy cruising.

WHAT IS THE WEATHER LIKE IN EXUMA DURING THE WINTER MONTHS ?
Winter temptures in Exuma vary from low 70's to some days reaching mid to high 80's. The nights are usually cool so definitely be sure to bring a sweater with you.
HOW DO I GET TO THE BOAT FROM THE AIRPORT?
Once you have arrive at the Exuma airport (GGT) we will arrange to have a taxi pick you up and take you to the Exuma Market dinghy docks. Here is where we will pick you up and take you to Shambala!
HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN CHARTER AT A TIME?
We suggest two, and if you like, one additional person. The sleeping accommodations are the private V-Berth for 2, and for a charter of 3, there is a berth in the main salon. Most guests also enjoy sleeping outside in a hammock or in the cockpit.
